Job tasks and responsibilities
Roles and Responsibilities:
Analysis of seasonal trends and compiling of fabric, trim and colour references to use seasonally
Setting creative direction for seasonal collections for review and approval by key stakeholders in the business
Seasonal fabric sourcing and selection
Fashion illustrations and presentation of designs
Design and develop collection according to merchandise assortment plan and required price-points
Liaise with design assistants, graphic designers, garment technicians and patternmakers in executing seasonal styles approved for development
Develop spec sheets and communicate design specifications to offshore vendors
Attend fittings and work through garment construction with the team to ensure garments are made to a high standard and within target price
Adhere to timelines and manage design process
